Activated alumina is a porous, highly dispersed material with large surface area, microporous surface with catalytic performance, strong adsorption performance, and good thermal stability, so it is widely used as ideal material for the manufacturing of desiccant, adsorbent, catalyst, gas or water purificant.
As the most common industrial desiccant, adsorbent, activated alumina products are widely used in air separation and preparation, PSA pressure swing adsorption, gas drying, desulfurization, dechlorination and defluorination, hydrogen peroxide production, water treatment, catalyst preparation for petroleum, petrochemical and fine chemical industry.
The special adsorbent for hydrogen peroxide production is white, spherical porous substance; odorless, tasteless, insoluble in water, esters, hydrocarbons, alcohols and other organic solvents. It has a long service life and is an adsorbent for the production of hydrogen peroxide by anthraquinone method.
In addition to absorbing the alkali in the working fluid, it has a strong regeneration ability for hydrogenated degradation products, which can reduce the increased degradation products in the hydrogenation reaction, which is beneficial to the oxidation reaction; and saves operating costs. At the same time, considering the needs of regeneration, activated alumina for hydrogen peroxide maintains good mechanical properties, and the activity changes after regeneration is small. This product is also widely used in various industrial water treatments, such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, electric power, papermaking, and urban water supply and drainage systems.
